LITTLETON, Colo. — Ray L. Bartusiak, 82, of Littleton died Sunday, July 6, 2014, at Littleton Adventist Hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church in Centennial. Inurnment will be in the church columbarium. Ellis Family Services in Littleton is in charge of arrangements. He was born Sept. 5, 1931, in Ord, Neb., to Adam E. and Josephine (Kaslon) Bartusiak. He married Lois Miller. Survivors include his wife of 52 years; sons, Bill and his wife, Peggy, Tom and Bob and his wife, Carole; grandchildren, Blake, Dylan, Courtney, Cody, Brady, Tori and Nina; and sister, Arlene Buchanan. Ray spent his childhood in Kearney, Neb., where he attended high school. He graduated from Nebraska State Teachers College in Kearney and used his degree to teach high school business classes in Arapahoe, Neb. After teaching, Ray had a successful career working for Texaco in Montana, Wyoming and Colorado where he retired after 37 years as a comptroller. Ray was first and foremost a devoted Christian and active parishioner of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church. He filled many roles within the church and spent countless hours serving the Lord. Ray was a devoted husband to his wife whom he so dearly loved, a proud father and doting grandfather who provided unconditional love and support. Ray never knew a stranger as he befriended everyone who crossed his path. He greeted people with kindness, a big smile and a humorous comment. Ray was also an avid gardener and was known to share the bounties of his flower gardens with family, friends and neighbors. Ray will be greatly missed, but his memory will live on forever with those who were fortunate enough to know him. He was preceded in death by his parents.
