Bio

The Gadsden Times, Friday, April 27, 1990: Lula C. Morris Funeral 2 p.m. Saturday at Collier-Butler Chapel for Lula C. Morris, 72, who died Thursday, April 26, 1990. Dr. Oscar Davis will officiate. Burial in Forrest Cemetery. She was a native of Cherokee County and a resident of Gadsden most of her life, member of Friendship Sunday School Class, W.M.U., KeenAgers of Gadsden First Baptist and active in Edenwood Garden Club and the Gadsden Woman's Club. She was Vice President of the Federal Lank Bank Association of Gadsden for forty years prior to her retirement. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Barry McCrary and granddaughter, Beth; brothers-in-law, Morris L. Nelson and Sam L. Arther and two sisters, Sue Arther, Glencoe and Velma Nelson, Gadsden. Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Webster Morris, only fourteen days earlier on April 12, 1990. Lula Christine Pridgen Morris' parents are buried alongside her grave.
