John P Beckstrand was born on April 27, 1848 in Sweden. He immigrated to the US in 1876. He married Christine Sophia Johnson, also from Sweden, on March 17, 1888, in Meeker County, MN. They were the parents of: George J Esther E Edward (Oscar A on the 1900 Census) John I Eva Arvid All of their children were born in Litchfield, MN.
