Born In Horni Tresnovec, Bohemia house #202. Frank, his brother Joseph and widowed mother Alzbeta immigrated to America (Texas) on the "Bark Erna". They left Bremen, Germany on October 24th, 1870 and arrived in Galveston, TX on December 28th, 1870. Frank signed his Declaration of Intent on February 7th,1876 in Austin County, he was officially naturalized in Travis County, TX July 10th, 1890. Frank & Rozalie (Hejl) had 14 children, they lost a son Frank at birth, a son Willie at age 5 and an unnamed daughter premature. Their surviving 11 children blessed them with 78 grandchildren, 71 reaching adult age. These grandchildren gave them 161 great grandchildren. He was a member and one of the founders of the Brethren Church in Taylor. Frank's last name was originally spelled "Lesikar", when pronounced in English there is a "sh" sound, so he started spelling his last name "Leshikar".
