Bio

Mrs. Jesse Briggs (from Waco Tribune Herald, 11/28/80, p. 11C) Mrs. Jesse (Wilma) Briggs, 56, of Bellmead, died Saturday night in a local hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Sparks Memorial United Methodist Church, the Rev. Garrett Creppon officiating. Burial will be in Waco Memorial Park. Mrs. Briggs was born in Hill County and had lived in West and Elk for several years. She had lived in the Bellmead area since 1945. She married Jesse Briggs Feb. 12, 1946 in Waco. Mrs. Briggs was a member of Sparks Memorial Methodist and the SPJST Lodge No. 66. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Joyce) Chudej and Mrs. Anthony (Janice) Chudej, both of Waco; two brothers, Irwin Cepak of Brazoria and Matthew Cepak of Hewitt; a sister, Mrs. Evelyn Radke of Waco; and a granddaughter.
