A Graveside Military and Masonic Funeral Services for L.D. "Pat" Patterson, age 87 of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Ridgeway Cemetery with Rev. Fred Lewis and Dennis Patterson officiating with Jon Anderson, Jim Clater, Mike Mirau, Cheyenne Smithers and Mason Stem serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Charles Jones, Dr. Chris Gallagher and Patty McDonald. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 03, 2014 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. L.D. "Pat" Patterson died on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at Plano Specialty Hospital, Plano, TX. He was born on August 15, 1926, the son of Ora Lee and Mable Elizabeth Littrell Patterson in Klondike, TX. He married Betty Wilhite on October 1, 1996 in Greenville, TX. She survives. Survivors included: son, Dennis Patterson and wife, Debbie of Murphy; daughter, Tammy Mirau and husband, Mike of Richardson, step-daughters, Debbie Clater and husband, Jim of Sanger, Donna Jenkins of Sulphur Springs and Lisa Smithers and husband, Cheyenne of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Courtney Stem, Luke Patterson, Staci Mirau, Rebekah Ward, step-grandchildren Shonna Hawks, Christy Anderson, Beverly Henderson, Amanda Rollins, Cody Smithers and Jessica Smithers and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; former wife, Margaret Thomas Patterson, two daughters, Judy Patterson and Vicki Patterson and one sister, Christine Harris Redding.
