Funeral Services for Willie F. "Bill" Stefek, 84, of Killeen, will be 10am Thursday July 3, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Killeen. Burial will follow at Corn Hill Cemetery in Jarrell. He was born April 16, 1930 in Granger, Texas to Joe and Mary (Knapek) Stefek. He passed away June 29, 2014 in Temple. Mr. Stefek was a farmer, veteran, and civil service worker. He retired as Director of the U S Army Outdoor Recreation. He was a former president and founder of KJT 128 of Killeen and was an instrumental part of St Joseph's Catholic Church since 1950. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years Margaret "Margie" Stefek, brothers, Joe, Emil, Victor and Jim Stefek and sister, Lillian Schwertner. Surviviors include sons, Billy Stefek and wife, Julie and Robert Stefek and wife, Luci, daughters, Marilyn Stefek and Carol Daude and husband, Michael, brothers John, Raymond, and George Stefek, and sister Mary Ann Strimiska. He was known as Pa to his grandchildren Bradley, Ronny, Randy, Benjamin, Joshua, Willie, Laci, Marshall, Mary Jo, Whitney, Ashley, Heather and great-grandchildren Joseph, Gracie, Lauren, Anthony (Tony) and Anna Grace. A time of visitation will be held from 6:30-8:30 Wednesday July 2, 2014 at St Joseph's Catholic Church with a rosary recited at 7pm.
