Wilson and his brother, Rufus, both changed spelling of their surname to Dumis. The other sons of Obediah and Martha Patsy, Silas, James and William, did not change the spelling. Other children born to Wilson and Catherine with unknown places of death are John Cornelius, Frances and Sarah Victoria. daughter, Georgianna Dumis Morphew Dodson is buried in Spring Branch Cem., in Columbia Co AR. She died in 1918 in Springhill, Webster Parish LA. 15 Mississippi Infantry Company A Siblings: Silas Woodrow Dumas b 1832, buried in Lincoln Parish LA Martha J Dumas b 1837(no other information has been found, as yet) James G. Dumas b 1838, died in CW Matilda L Dumas b 1840 (never married, died Oct 29 1897 Erath Co TX) Amalivia Elizabeth Dumas Miller b 1843, buried in Alleene Cem. Rufus Winchester DUMIS b 1844, buried in Parker Co TX William Samuel Dumas b 1847, died before 1890 Attala Co MS Harriet Anne Dumas Reynolds/Rennels b 1849, buried in Alleene Cem Mary A Dumas b 1849(no other information has been found, as yet) Sarah J Dumas Turner b 1852, died before 1900 Attala Co MS Eliza J Dumas b 1853(no other information has been found, as yet) No places of burial for Obediah Dumas or his wife Martha Patsy Ousley Dumas. She was mentioned in dtr Matilda's obituary as still living in 1897, but not found in 1900. The Dumas' and the Millers and probably some other families, left Attala Co MS ca 1884 moving west. Some stayed in TX and the others moved to Little River Co AR. It is possible that Obediah left with the families and died on the way or after reaching TX. It is entirely unknown where he is buried or when he died.
