LEWIS PASSES AWAY Former resident of county died Monday near Albia T. P. Lewis (sic), 79, former Jefferson county resident, passed away at his home north of Albia Monday at 12:30 a.m. He had suffered a stroke Thursday evening. Mr. Lewis was born in Brookville on Oct. 24, 1859, the son of Stephen and Sarah Lewis. He moved to Albia in 1910. Mr. Lewis is survived by his wife, Ollie; two sons, Bryon and Ray, both of Albia, and three sisters, Emma, Mrs. Thornberry and Mrs. West, all of Libertyville. He was preceded in death by a son, Rollie (sic), and a daughter, Bertha. Funeral services will be held at Albia at 9 a.m. Wednesday. Interment will be in Fell cemetery at 11 a.m. Wednesday. ------------------- Fairfield Ledger Friday, July 13, 1939 Page 8, Column 1 T. B. Lewis Burial Was Wednesday In Libertyville LIBERTYVILLE. July 13 - Word was received here of the death of T. B. Lewis of Albia whose body was brought here for burial. Funeral services were held in Albia at 9 a.m. Wednesday. "Tom"as he was familiarly known was born and reared north of Libertyville. He was married to Ollie Famulener. Three sons and a daughter were born to this union. One son and the daughter having preceded Mr. Lewis in death. He also leaves three sisters living here, Miss Emma Lewis, Libertyville postmistress, Mrs. Lydia West and Mrs. Susan Thornberry. His father and mother passed away years ago. Interment was in the Fell cemetery.
