Bio

Funeral services for Marvin Henrichsen, 77, of Rosenberg will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 27, 2006 in the chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. with interment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. The Rev. Dr. Dale Staggemeier will officiate the services. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, 2006 in the chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Marvin was born on April 17, 1928 to Walter and Emma Henrichsen. He married Gladys Richter on Nov. 15, 1947. He served in the U.S. Army from 1952 through 1954. After being honorably discharged, Marvin went back to work at Houston Lighting and Power Company in Rosenberg. After working there for 31 years, he retired in 1976 due to illness. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Rosenberg. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Emma Henrichsen, and one sister, Lucille Richter. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Gladys Henrichsen; daughter Judy Spinks and her husband Douglas; son Ricky Henrichsen and his wife Gloria; five grandchildren: Jason Spinks and his wife Melissa, Amy Henrichsen and her fiancé Owen Sodolak, Nathan Henrichsen and his fiancée Melissa Kendrick, Cody and Cory Spinks, and Travis and Ryan Henrichsen; two great-grandchildren, Matthew and Lindsey Spinks; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends. Pallbearers are Owen Sodolak and Marvin's grandsons, Jason Spinks, Nathan Henrichsen, Cody Spinks, Cory Spinks, Travis Henrichsen and Ryan Henrichsen. Special thanks to Amelia, his special nurse; also Dr. Molina, Dr. Faulkner and Dr. Dale Staggemeier, during Marvin's illness throughout the past year. In lieu of the usual remembrances, donations may be made in Marvin's name to St. John's United Church of Christ, 1513 West St., Rosenberg, Texas, 77471. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3900 B. F. Terry Blvd. (FM 2218 and U.S. 59), Rosenberg, 281-341-8800.
