Bio
Charlene N. Krupicka, 84, of Waco, passed away, Saturday, June 21, 2014. Services will be at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 24, at St. Matthews Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, June 23, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Charlene was born in Meeks, Texas, in rural eastern Bell County, to the late Charles and Marie(Marek) Bedrich. She attended the Meeks school through the 8th grade and then attended Rogers High School, graduating in 1947. Charlene married Ben Krupicka on March 20, 1948, in Temple. Following their wedding, Ben and Charlene made their home in Waco where Charlene was a stay-at-home Mom, taking care of her children and family. After the children were raised, she worked as a florist at the Brookview Flower Shop, Roy's Flower Shop, and The Arrangement Gallery. Charlene was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Ben; her parents; and her sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Johnny Zabcik. She is survived by sons, Wayne Krupicka and wife, Juanita, of Birmingham, Alabama, and Paul Krupicka and wife, JoAnn, of Waco; daughter, Kathy Husak and husband, Fred, of Robinson; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
