Bio

Mrs. Opal Jo Blair, 82, of Colorado City died Wednesday evening at an Abilene Hospital. Funeral Services will be 3:00 PM, Saturday in the Loraine First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Loraine Cemetery under the direction of Kiker- Seale Funeral Home. Mrs. Blair was born to Hayden and Mary Rowland Williams on October 14, 1923 in Fisher County. She married Dual Oren Blair in Snyder on May 22, 1942, he preceded her in death on November 27, 2003 after 61 years of marriage. She and Dual worked together in Tulsa, Oklahoma riveting airplane cockpits during World War Il. When her sons were in the military she sent them each a letter everyday to let them know how much she loved them. She loved to fish and her family and farm were the center of her life. She was a Baptist. She is survived by two sons: Larry and wife Fielda Blair of Colorado City and Ronnie and wife Debbie Blair of Loraine; Five grandchildren: Christi and husband Randy White of Weatherford; Tammie and husband Darren Waters of Greenwood; Carrie and husband Charlie Ortiz of Colorado City; Amber and husband Casey Peaslee of Colorado City and Rusty Blair of Raymondville; 13 Great grandchildren Brayden and Brett White of Weatherford, Sarah Hancock of Ovala, Courtney and Bryce Waters of Greenwood, Briana, Whitney Shelby and Chris Ortiz of Colorado City, Hayden and Carter Peaslee of Colorado City, and Taylor and Cason Blair of Raymondville; a brother Maurice "Jiggs" Hayden Williams of Ft.
