'''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' Morning World-Herald (Omaha, Nebr.), March 12, 1926, p. 13, col. 1 JOHN KAUTSKY DIES; LIVED HERE 39 YEARS John Kautsky, 82 died Wednesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Mary Pavel, 4425 South Twelfth street, where he had been visiting for several days. He had been ill with pneumonia. Mr. Kautsky was born in Bohemia and was a resident of Omaha for 39 years. For the last six months he and his wife made their home with another daughter, Mrs. Lou Kratky, 4123 South Twenty-third street. He was a charter member of the C. S. P.S. lodge No. 144, and Rad Palacky, No. 1, Z. C. B. J. Surviving are his widow, Frances, 82; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Pavel, Mrs. Anna Chleborad, Mrs. Lou Kratky and Mrs. Henry Michael; two sons, Joseph and Charles Krautsky; 19 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. The funeral will be held from the residence of Mrs. Kratky at 9:30 a.m. Friday, with burial in Bohemian National cemetery. A double funeral was held Friday afternoon for John Kautsky, 82, and his son, Joseph, 56 at the home of the elder Kautsky's daughter, Mrs. Lou Kratky, 4133 South Twenty-third street. The father, a pioneer Omaha resident, died Wednesday of pneumonia. Arrangements for a funeral to be held Friday afternoon were changed upon receipt of word from Lincoln, Neb., that his son, Joseph, had died in a hospital in that city Thursday. A double funeral service was then arranged. The service was in charge of members of the various lodges of which the elder Mr. Kautsky was a member. Burial was in Bohemian National cemetery.
