Bio
Lois A. (Halla) Penas, 75, of Lincoln, passed away surrounded by her family on June 11, 2014. Lois is a member of Saint John's Catholic Church and Altar Society, Pink Sisters and American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include husband, Edwin Penas of Lincoln; daughters, Ann & husband Randy of Bennet, Carol Penas of Lincoln, Elaine Penas of Kansas City, Mo., Joy & husband Richard Ferrington of Blair, Patricia & husband Jeff Kissinger of Lincoln; sons, Allen & wife Susan Penas of Waverly, Ronald & wife Gloria Penas of Fort Calhoun. Six grandchildren: Elizabeth & Joshua Penas, Alexandria & Lauren Ferrington, Jake & Molly Penas. Preceded in death by parents, brother Rudy Halla and brother-in-law John Hines. Visitation with family will be 6-7 pm Sunday at the funeral home and Monday 9:30-10:30 am at church. Rosary will be 7 pm Sunday at Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 am Monday, June 16, at Saint John's Catholic Church, 76th & Vine. Burial will be at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. Memorials to Saint John's Catholic Church and / or the Pink Sisters, in lieu of flowers. Officiating will be Father Lyle Johnson.
