"Fletcher" as he was known, was the son of: SPENCER LACEY(b 1750 d6/29/1823 in Sussex Co.,De.) and MOLLY/MARY BRITTINGHAM ENNIS(born 3/15/1764 died 9/10/1813), the daughter of WILLIAM BRITTINGHAM ENNIS(died 3/30/1790 Sussex Co.,De) and KIZIA ENNIS. SPENCER LACEY was in the REVOLUTIONARY WAR from 1776-1780. Grandson of JOHN AND ANN (PARKER)LACEY. JOHN LACEY,(son of ROBERT and BRIDGET(PARKER)LACEY) was born 1730 and died 10/1777. Married Ann Parker 1750. SIBLINGS WERE: John Mills Lacey b 1782 (Mother was Jane/Jenny/Ginny MILLS Lacey who died in childbirth. She was the first wife of Spencer Lacey.) JOHN MILLS LACEY married Hester Ennis on 12/24/1801 in Sussex Co., De. John moved his family to Ohio after 1810. They had a son, John Mills Lacey Jr. born 8/9/1812 in Barnesville Ohio. John Mills Lacey Jr. the son, married Eleanor Patten. William Brittingham Lacey: b 9/23/1783-married Hannah Stafford, he died after 1850 in East Felicia Parish,LA. Sally(Sarah)E. born after Fletcher married William V. Coulter 10/4/1821, had a daughter Elizabeth Ann Coulter. Robert Louis Lacey, born (May 8 1815 died Jan 27 1869) to the THIRD wife of Spencer Lacey, Elizabeth Lewis Lacey. Robert married Priscilla Shepherd Hudson on December ll, l848. Their children were:William Henry Lacey b 10/23/1849 d 9/23/1914, son James Emery Lacey b 6/25/1851 d 3/9/1852, son Charles Franklin Lacey b 9/21/1853 d 6/23/1924. ROBERT LOUIS LACEY married second Hester Ann Parker Simpler on May 3 1856. Their children were: Mary Boone Lacey born Mar l l857 d 9/17/1951 and died in Milford, De.single, never married, George Robert Lacey b 6/16/1862 d 10/14/1865, John Fletcher Lacey b9/30/1865 d 2/26/1937. Fletcher first married Elizabeth Burton on 9/9/1817. They had a daughter, Mary Ann Lacey who became a school teacher, never married, and died in 1887 in Milton, Delaware. He then married ANN PRETTYMAN, on January 29 1864. They were only married 26 months before his death. He served in CAPTAIN JOHN KOLLOCK'S and CAPTAIN RODNEY'S DELAWARE MILITIA IN THE WAR OF 1812.
