Kenneth Roy Wiscomb, 78, passed away in his Salt Lake City home May 1, 2006 attended by his son and daughter-in-law. He was born August 30, 1927 in Salt Lake City to A. Donald and Clara Kasteler Wiscomb. In the summer of 1949 he met the love of his life, Gloria Dean Wiscomb. They married on September 30, 1949 and returned to Salt Lake City. He served in the U.S. Navy after graduation from high school through the end of World War II. Ken had a great passion for sports and outdoor activities. His participation, coaching and interaction with his son and friends in these activities had a tremendous influence on everyone he came in contact with. His professional career covered a wide variety of occupations. He had his greatest success and took great personal pride in his sales and marketing skills. He continued the Wiscomb family sales tradition established by his father Don, continued by his brothers Bill and Wayne, and has been passed on to his son. He is survived by his son Steven Wiscomb, his daughter-in-law Barbara Wiscomb, and his grandson Tyler Wiscomb. He was preceded in death by his wife Gloria and his step grandson Troy Baker. A graveside service will be held Thursday May 4 at 3:00 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South, where family and friends my call from 2:00-3:00 p.m. the day of the service.
