Albina Marie (Zbranek) Huebel, 106, of La Grange, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at Monument Hill Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in La Grange. Albina was born in La Grange, Texas on November 1, 1907, the daughter of Frank and Annie (Pisklak) Zbranek. She married Albert Ignag Huebel, Sr. on July 28, 1930. She worked for both Carter Motel and Weikel's Lunch & Soda in La Grange. Albina was a faithful Catholic and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was a member of the Altar Society and the Catholics Daughters of the Americas Court Annunciation No. 1962. She is survived by daughter, Dorine Schindler of La Grange; daughter-in-law, Jurline Huebel of Columbus; three sisters-in-law: Annie Creppon, Elsie Huebel, and Justina Zbranek all of La Grange; eight grandchildren: Glenn Schindler of Austin; Morgan Smith and wife, Shawn, of La Grange; Laurie Quitta and husband, Pete, of La Grange Robert Smith and wife, Clara, of La Grange; William Smith and wife, Piper, of Smithville; Randy Huebel and wife, Sylvia, of Columbus; Michael Huebel and wife, Lorna, of Columbus; and John Huebel of Columbus; twelve great grandchildren; four step great grandchildren; three step great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert; son, Albert Huebel, Jr., daughter, Rose Marie Smith; one sister; and six brothers. Visitation will be held at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home. Family will receive friends and a rosary will be recited. Funeral Services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, La Grange, Texas.
