Bio

Melvina Ormsby b. Parishville, St Lawrence Co. NY, father Lyman& Maria Ormsby. Lived in NY until late 1860's, married Ezra Gale abt 1869. Her father and 2nd wife along with Melvina's bro. & sister's moved to Jackson Co WI. Ezra & Melvina where they met is a question. As his home place was Turmbull Co. Ohio and that's where they settled. 3 children Elmer, Rosa Belle "Prairie Rose Henderson famous rodeo bronc rider of Cheyenne Wyoming" & Emma May Gale. Ezra die 1882. 1886 Melvina m. Ezra's nephew WM. Gale, they moved to Custer Co. NE by 1888, 3 boys born there Robert, Earnest,Wm.F. Gale. Melvina two sisters had homesteaded in Custer Co., a bro Melvin Ormsby in Merrick Co NE. Before 1900 Wm. & Melvina moved back to Ohio. Her 3 oldest children stayed in the west settling in Wyoming. Melvina lived the rest of her life in Turnbull Co OH.
