Grand Island (Nebraska) Independent December 1976 Jennings Bryan Baldwin, 79, of 200 Stoeger Drive, died Monday at a local care home after several months of failing health. Services are pending with Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Baldwin was born Aug. 10, 1894, at Phillips, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Caleb Baldwin. When he was young, the family moved to Greeley County where he attended school and grew up. On Aug. 24, 1917, he married Lolitta J. Meese at Ord. They lived on a farm in Greeley County until 1926, when they moved to North Platte. Shortly thereafter, they came to Grand Island. Mr. Baldwin was employed with the Union Pacific Railroad. He began his service in Grand Island in 1927 as a storekeeper in the electrical department. In 1934, he was transferred to Council Bluffs, Iowa. When he retired in 1966, the family moved to Arvada, Colo. In August 1976 they returned to Grand Island. Survivors include his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy McDonald of Anaheim, Calif.; one son, Bryan of Arvada; one brother, Voris Baldwin of Greeley; two sisters, Mrs. Mille Maye of Ord and Mrs. Leona LeMaster of Palmer; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
