Bio
Dorothy Leona Burnett was born in Lake Charles, LA on August 16, 1921 to Mary Ann Reeves and James Jefferson Burnett, Jr. The family moved to Texas about 1927. After her parents divorced, Dorothy moved to Houston with her mother. In 1950, she married the love of her life, Rudolph John "Rudy" Fenzl, and from that union was born their loving daughter, Susan Diane Fenzl. Mrs. Fenzl, 83, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2005. With her warm heart, generosity, and sense of humor, Dorothy had a zest for living and always was available for her family and friends. She enjoyed good music, cooking, and gardening. She is preceded in death by her dear "Rudy" and is survived by her loving daughter, Diane; her loyal and devoted friend, Winfree "Wimpy" Wooster; her sisters-in-law, Audrey Klump and Mary Frances Burnett; niece and nephew, Cindy Sitterle and Jeff Burnett; great nephews, Richard Allen Paul, Brandon Sitterle, and Trey Sitterle. Friends gathered from 6-8 p.m., Sunday, April 17, at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home to spend time with the family. A memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 18, at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home with Rev. John Arnall of Trinity Apostolic Faith Church officiating. A private burial was held at a later date.
