Frances Lee Cotton Bradshaw Frances Lee Bradshaw, age 86, of Austin, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home on July 6, 2005. Frances was born in Bertram, Texas, on August 2, 1918, to Clara Belle Martens and Arthur Napoleon Cotton. Frances moved with her family, at an early age, to South Austin, where they operated a dairy. She attended St. Mary's Academy, graduating in 1935. She married Maurice T. (Monk) Bradshaw on November 24, 1937. They were married for 67 years. Frances started her working career at Scarboroughs Department Store, and from that time to present she formed many lasting friendships. She also worked at the IRS and Austin Independent School District. She retired from AISD as Supervisor of the Data Entry Center for the entire school system. Frances and Monk were two of the original volunteers for South Austin Hospital, starting in 1982. They continued to serve for the next 20 years. Frances Lee was an original founding member of St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church in 1937. There, she was a member of the Altar Society and Legion of Mary, and a dedicated mom for many, many church and school activities. She completed a life of dedication, love and service to her husband, family, church, and many friends. She was preceded in death by M. T. Bradshaw, the love of her life, best friend, and husband of 67 years; Arthur A. and Clara B. Cotton; George C. and Annie B. Bradshaw; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Ellen and Louis (Dutch) Herry; brother, Herbert (Pete) Cotton; brother-in- law, R. R. Cloud; and, granddaughter, Vanessa Bradshaw. Frances is survived by son, Michael C. Bradshaw and wife Pat of Evanston, Colo.; daughter, Barbara Bostick and husband George of Austin, Tex.; daughter, Annabel Linscomb and husband David of Austin, Tex.; son, Jack Bradshaw and wife Maryann of Austin, Tex.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; sisters, Nancy Ann (Bob) Crider of Mason, Tex., and Louise Cloud of Baton Rouge, La.; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many, many friends. The family would like to thank many people for assisting Frances since the death of her beloved husband, Monk on February 28, 2005: her granddaughter, Belinda, South Austin Hospital, the special nurses and caregivers from Girling Home Health Care and Girling Hospice, the Visiting Angels, and Dr. Jerry Vandel. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 10, 2005, at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ignatius Martyr Church on Monday, July 11, 2005. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearers are her grandsons: Chris Bradshaw, Steven Bradshaw, Collin Linscomb; granddaughters: Belinda Bostick, Jessica Bostick, Jordan Linscomb, Melissa Rotolo; and her five great-grandchildren.
