Laverne Verilee (Schnieder) Liese, 89, passed away on January 10, 2017 in Round Rock, Texas. She was born March 5, 1927 at Berry Creek, Texas to Richard and Etta (Schier) Schneider. She was baptized on March 27, 1927 and confirmed April 6, 1941 at St.Peter Lutheran Church in Walburg, Texas. She married Clarence Liese at St.Peter Church on November 27, 1949. Laverne was married to Clarence Liese, her love of 60 years, until he passed away May, 2010. She was a compassionate person who cared deeply for her husband, children, grandchildren and great grand-daughter. Laverne grew up working on the family farm and continued to farm with Clarence while raising two daughters. As a lifetime member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, she was active in worship and service including: Sunday School Teacher, Vacation Bible School Teacher, Choir, Ladies Aid, Quilter and helping wherever needed. Laverne was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son-in-law, Jacque Sotello. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters: Elaine Sotello, Katherine Eschberger, son-in-law, Daryl Eschberger; brother, Cecil Schnieder; three grandchildren and their spouses and one great grand-daughter. Her love for Jesus and her family was exemplified in her words and actions. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, January 14, 2017 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Walburg, 2929 FM 972, Georgetown, Texas 78626 with burial to follow at the St. Peter Lutheran Church Cemetery. Pastor Philip Daniels will officiate. Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Cullen Eschberger, Preston Eschberger, Greg Anderson, Josh Drury, Matt Drury, Thomas Teggeman and Charles Scheuer. In lieu of flowers memorials may directed to St. Peter Lutheran Church.
