Oroville Mercury Register, Oroville, CA, Monday, May 24, 1948, pg 1: "A. J. DuBose Succumbs --- Funeral services were held at 12:30 p.m. Monday in Oakland for Andrew J. DuBose, former Oroville business man, who died at his home in Oakland last Friday evening. "Mr. DuBose operated as cleaning business here for several years and after selling out moved to Alameda, where he operated a similar business. "He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mae DuBose; two daughters, Mrs. Jeanne Cadenhead and Mrs. Mildred Kendall, all of Oakland; a brother, Junious DuBose of Nelson and two brothers in Texas. "The family has requested that no flowers be sent. Instead the money is to be donated to the fund for Cancer Research Foundation.
