Margaret M. Phillips, 89, of Doniphan, Missouri, departed this life Thursday, May 29, 2014, at the Current River Nursing Center in Doniphan. Mrs. Phillips, daughter of the late William Roy and Vergil Alrea (Vaughan) Radford, was born September 22, 1924, in Roxton, Texas. She had been a factory inspector for Rexall Drugs and was a member of the Church of Christ. On August 3, 1952, she was married to Alvin Phillips in Las Vegas, Nevada. He preceded her in death on December 21, 1980. Surviving are one brother, Garland H. Radford of Downey, California; one granddaughter, Maria Serania; two nieces, Evelyn Ederer and Bonnie Casteel, both of Doniphan; one nephew, Phillip Stilwell of Kansas City, Kansas; and numerous other grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She was also preceded in death by her son, Ronald Lee Levin, one sister, Gladys C. Poling, one grandson, Eric Levin, and one special nephew, Don Stilwell. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning, May 31, 2014, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Steve Sanders officiating. Burial will be in the Pope Chapel Cemetery.
