Grand Island (Nebraska) Daily Independent Monday, 26 May 1924, page 5 Mortuary - Charles T. Kelly. Charles T. Kelly, aged 13, son of John Kelly of Greeley, Nebr., passed away at the St. Francis hospital in this city about 6:30 P.M. Saturday as the result of severe injuries sustained when his clothing became caught in the motor of an electric washing machine at his home while he was assisting his mother with the family wash. Before the power could be released, the young man's body became entangled in the machinery and he sustained a fractured skull and other serious injuries. He was brought to the hospital in this city Saturday morning in a critical condition, his injuries proving fatal a few hours thereafter. The body was taken to Greeley, Nebr. for burial accompanied by the father of the deceased.
