Mildred H Steichen, resident of Ponca City, OK, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at Ponca City Medical Center. She was 84. The Mass of Christian Burial service will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, June 2, 2014, at the St. Mary's Catholic Church with Reverend Kevin Ratterman officiating. A rosary service will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2014, at 7:00 pm with Deacon Dick Robinson at Trout Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory. Mildred was born on January 8, 1930 to Charles C. Patak and Frances (Horak) Patak in Ennis, Texas. She was married to Martin Steichen on October 7, 1950 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Perry, Oklahoma. They moved to Dallas, TX then relocated to Ponca City, OK, where they were engaged in farming and raising their family. Mildred's legacy is her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren and her ability to welcome and feed everyone they drug home.
