Ray Dene Floyd, 86, of Jamestown passed away Friday, May 23, 2014 in Batesville. He was born June 19, 1927 in Floral to John B. Floyd and Gertrude Massey Floyd. He retired from International Shoe and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, stock cars and NASCAR. Ray loved riding his three wheeler with his grandchildren and spending time with the family. Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Waldene Floyd of Jamestown; one son, Jerry Hunter Floyd and his wife Zee of Banner; one daughter, Beverly Reed and her husband Winfred of Jamestown; one sister, Sharon Candler and her husband Arnold of Southside; four grandchildren; Melanie Ferrantelle and her husband Louis, Scott "Scooter" Floyd, Tammy Reynolds and her husband Jessie, Missy Drake and her husband Shawn; six great grandchildren, Lindsey Allen and her husband Chase, Austin Ferrantelle, Matthew Wilkerson and his wife Tiffaney, Ashlyn Ferrantelle, Hailey Drake, Ally Drake; three great great grandchildren; Laney Wilkerson, Kyle Wilkerson, Lucas Allen; one special nephew, Max Bishop and his wife Dinnah and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, one son, Donald Ray Floyd, one great grandson, Will Reed Drake, three brothers, and four sisters. Services will be 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at the Willis Funeral Service Chapel with Bro. Jerry Hagar officiating. Interment will be in the Kyler Cemetery at Southside. Pallbearers are Walter Reed, Claud Reed, James Roach, Keith Mason, Doug Presley, and Carroll Mohlke. Honorary Pallbearers are Mountain Meadows Nursing & Rehabilitation employees, Orville Elumbaugh, Dr. Doug Bernard, Leann Tharp, and Mark McCollum. Obit by Willis Funeral Service of Batesville
