Bio

Alonzo 'Lon' was a civil engineer. Residing in Illinois, he was assigned to survey the boundary between Colorado and New Mexico. When he arrived, in his words, 'I am fascinated by the beauty of this country and never want to go back to Illinois.' He became Supervisor of Surveys for the area, with his office in Santa Fe, New Mexico. In his later years he ran a photography studio which was the second largest in Albuquerque, NM. He married Louisa J Stark on 14 Aug 1894 but they had no children. When Louisa died he remarried to Nola Martha Reed on 16 Mar 1913 and they had one child.
