Nancy Cecelia Geeo Deary lost her battle to cancer on Tuesday, May 13, 2014. A resident of Hot Springs, Arkansas, she was born to Pearl and Roy Lafayette Geeo March 12, 1944, in Dallas, Texas. She is preceded in death by her father Roy Lafayette Geeo; mother Pearl (Geeo) Nash; and a brother Jerry Pete Geeo. She was a loving wife and mother; was a friend to many and gave freely of her time and talents. Nancy volunteered several years as a Girl Scout Troop Leader and touched many young girls' lives. She was very active in church activities as a minister's wife, and was an avid animal lover, frequently accepting strays into her home. Pallbearers will be Roy Geeo, Chris Geeo, Jeremy Geeo, Timothy Geeo, Curtis Lowery, Ricky Qualls, and Scott Geeo. Honorary pallbearers include Dr. Fred Dyvers and the Genesis Cancer Clinic, staff of St. Vincent's Hot Springs, staff of Canyon Springs Nursing Home, Deirksen Hospice, and Dr. William Wright. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday May 16, 2014, in the Chapel of Gross Funeral Home, 120 Wrights Street, Hot Springs (501)624-1244. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday May 17, 2014, at Owensville Cemetery, with Rev. Raymond Isom officiating.
