Bio
Rheudy Charles Rushing, age 83, of Clarksville, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at Clarksville Nursing Center. Mr. Rushing was born April 2, 1930, in Birthright to Andrew Jackson and Fannie Josephine Smith Rushing. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Lynn Rushing, eight brothers and seven sisters. Mr. Rushing retired from the Red River Army Depot. Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 16, 2014, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. James Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Lanes Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends an hour before service time at the funeral home. Survivors include his sons, Charles Rushing and wife Kellie of Ft. Worth, Roger Rushing of Tampa, Florida. His daughters, Jo Alice Davis and husband Wendell of Clarksville, Linda Gibbs of El Paso; His grandchildren, Wesley Davis, Matthew Rushing and wife Brittany, Kelsey Rushing, Charles "Tony" Gibbs and Susan "Alicia" Gibbs; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
