Bio

LORENE MORRIS BLACKBURN was born May 26, 1921, to Leonard and Vera Morris in Loco, Oklahoma. She died Monday, May 30, 2005, in Waurika, Oklahoma, at the age of 84. She was a Mary Kay Cosmetics consultant for more than 30 years in Bowie, Texas and Waurika, Oklahoma. Survivors include, one daughter, Donalda Sue Strickland and her husband Gerald T. of Granbury, Texas; two grandchildren, Steven Strickland of Fairfield, Calif., and Lorie Karol of Frederick, Md.; four great-granddaughters, Stephanie, Danielle, and Marissa Strickland, and Nichole Karol; one great-grandson, Bryan Strickland; two brothers, Elmer and Emmitt; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, D.J. "Dink" Blackburn in 1974; her father in 1972; her mother in 1987; three sisters, Reva in 1995, VaLois in 1996, and Maxine in 1997.
