WELDON A. REED, age 80, of Irving, died Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Baylor Medical Center in Irving. Born November 4, 1933 in Collin County, Texas, he was the son of Weldon Reed, Jr. and Kathryne Ray Reed. He was a diesel mechanic for Union Pacific and a member of Good Shepherd Methodist Church in Arlington. Preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Ann Hill, he is survived by his wife of 37 years, Margaret; daughter Kristie Walker and husband Joshua of Carrollton; and a granddaughter Julia Walker. The family will receive friends 2-4 p.m. Sunday, May 4, 2014 at Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. The funeral will be 1:00 p.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving.
