Bio
Wanda Naomi Sewell, born in Dallas, Texas, July 23, 1928, passed away April 27, 2014. She married Vergil Sewell on July 1, 1945 at Hatcher Street Baptist Church. Together, they raised four children, Dennis, Deborah, David, and Delia. She also has six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband Vergil and son Dennis. A graduate of Crozier Tech in Dallas, she worked all of her life, lastly as a Real Estate Broker. She served as PTA president while her children were in school as well as the Band Booster Association. She served the City of Seagoville in various capacities, including on the board of the Seagoville Economic Development Corporation. She has been a member of First Baptist Church of Seagoville since 1957 and was a highly respected Sunday school and bible study teacher. Wanda was known as an artist and a craftsman, often teaching friends and family how to knit and crochet. She loved to cook and her family will miss her cornbread dressing. One of her favorite bible verses was Romans 8:38-39. She served her Lord, her family, and her community well.
