Bio

Mrs. Mary Louise Burris, 35, died Sunday at Plains Memorial Hospital in Dimmitt of injuries sustained when she was struck by a car near Dimmitt. She had been a resident of Muleshoe six years, moving there from Clovis. Mrs Burris was fatally injured when she stepped from the running board of a parked truck into the path of an automobile. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Assembly of God Church in Muleshoe. Officiating the services were Rev. J. W. Farmer assisted by the Rev. R. V. Luna of the Assembly of God Church in Andrews. Survivors include her husband, Floyd; three daughters, Kathy, Donna and Shirley; a son, Tommy, all of the home; her parents, Mr and Mrs T. E. Simpson of Clovis; two sisters, Mrs H. D. Hunter of Kingsville, Tex.; and Miss Pat Simpson of Clovis; four brothers, Earl Simpson with the U. S. Navy, Freddy and Roy Simpson of Clovis; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Simpson of Pecos, N. M., and Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Hiser of Crane, Tex. Burial was held in the Bailey County Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Singleton Funeral Home.
