Bio

Son of Reason and Lucretia (Dunkin) Mobley. Married to Sarah Jane Jones on November 9, 1854, in Coweta County, Georgia. Ten children. Moved to Texas about 1882. According to Application for Confederate Pension filed July 16, 1913, Hezekiah Mobley enlisted August 1862 and was discharged April 1865. "Surrendered with Lee at Appomatox Courthouse in april (9th) 1865." First served in Company D, 41st, Georgia Infantry, and then in Company A 12th Georgia Batallion in 1864.
