Bio
Ann Strawther, 92, of Trout Creek died Friday, April 18, 2014, at Village Creek Rehab and Nursing Center in Lumberton. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 21, at Trout Creek Baptist Church with burial at Trout Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday at the church. Born in Fort Worth, she had lived most of her life in Trout Creek and was a retired bookkeeper with Jasper-Newton Electric Co-op. Survivors include sons, Jim & Barbara Strawther of Lumberton, Jack Strawther of Bedford, and Tom & Patti Strawther of Houston; a sister, Margaret Beers of Arlington; 7 grandchildren, Jamie & Laura Strawther, Frank & Kirsten Strawther, Will & Carolyn Strawther, Jacky Lee & Alice Strawther, Lauren Anne & Bo Fontana, Charles H. & Melissa French, and Paul & Holly Strawther; and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James O. Strawther; her parents, Oliver Bunyan & Addie Sue Elliott; brothers, Jack, John, and Bill Elliott; and a sister, Mary Edmondson. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be given your local MHMR.
