Herald Coaster, November 20, 1989: Funeral services for Albina V. Sabrsula, 92, of Neeville, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21, at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church in Needville. The Rev. Richard Avery will officiate. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Mrs. Sabrsula died Saturday, Nov. 18, at her residence in Needville. She was born Sept. 5, 1897 in Plum, to parents Josef and Josephine Kovar Matocha. She married Emil Sabrsula June 1, 1919. She was a member of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church and a member of S.P.J.S.T. Lodge #81 in Needville. Mrs. Sabrsula was preceded in death by her husband, Emil; two sons, Albert and Vestine Sabrsula; grandson, Rubin Sabrsula; brothers, Joe, Alfred, Edward, and Raymond Matocha; and sister, Josephine Matocha. Survivors: one daughter, Vlasta Kirkendall of Needville; one son, Rubin Sabrsula and his wife, Vivian, of Chauvin, La.; one brother, Raymond Matocha of Smithville; ten grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Memorials can be made to the St. Paul's Presbyterian Church Building Fund. Funeral services are under the direction of Garmany and Carden Funeral Home in Needville.
