YOAKUM: Elizabeth Edna Veselka, age 90, passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2014. She was born on December 2, 1923 in Corpus Christi to Rudolf and Frances Tomacek English. She moved to Yoakum in 1975 and loved the town, was a wife and mother and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Survivors: daughters, Valerie Talbert of Aberdeen, Washington, Janet Wiatt and husband Ed of Port Aransas and Kathy Nichols and husband Todd of Houston; son, James Veselka and wife Donna of Maurice, Louisiana; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Adolph Veselka and three brothers. Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
