Obituary in Lufkin Daily News, February 2, 2002 Services for James Howard Mooney, 72, of Etoile, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Macedonia Baptist Church with the Rev. Reagan Sewell officiating. Interment will follow in the Blue Springs Cemetery. Mr. Mooney was born July 2, 1929 in Etoile and died February 1, 2002 in Nacogdoches. He was the owner of a trucking business and a U. S. Navy veteran of the Korean War.
