Bio

Mrs. Nina Phillips, age 91, a longtime resident of Nacogdoches, Texas, passed away early Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010. Mrs. Phillips was born Aug. 17, 1919. She worked as a nurse for several years and retired from Lufkin State School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Phillips, on Jan. 5, 2001. Graveside rites are set for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, at Fairview Cemetery, off Hwy. 21 East, Nacogdoches County, with Pastor Jamie Altman of Nacogdoches Community Church officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors, 5400 North St., Nacogdoches, Texas.
