Betty June Scott, 79, of Chalk Bluff, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2014, in Waco. Services will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 5, at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Donald Scott officiating. Burial will be in Moore Cemetery in Chalk Bluff. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, April 5, at the funeral home. June was born in Grandview, Texas, to the late James Earl and Grace (Sparks) Newby. She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Scott. Survivors include her daughter, Latonia "Delynn" Scott, of Watauga; sons, Eldon Scott, of Waco, and Byron Scott, of Watauga; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Dana Underwood, of McKinney; brother, John Gardner, of Austin; other relatives and many friends.
