Bio

Joyce L. Crist, 76, of Burlington died at 7:25 a.m. Monday, August 30, 2010, at Great River Medical Center – Klein Center. Born February 2, 1934 in Brush, Colorado, she was the daughter of Thompson and Oneil Scott Bigham. On December 27, 1968 she married Leroy Crist in Miami, Oklahoma. Mrs. Crist attended schools in Nevada, Missouri and had been a resident of Burlington since 1993. She worked as a dental technician, retiring in 1996.She and her husband lived in Australia from 1974 – 1975 and in Fiji from 1979 – 1981. Mrs. Crist was a member of First Christian Church. She enjoyed travel, jewelry making, pewter making and metal working. Survivors include her husband, Leroy Crist of Burlington and several nieces and nephews. Her parents and one brother preceded her in death.
