Published in the Ord Quiz, Ord, Nebraska, Wednesday, March 1, 2000, Page 8A, Columns 1 Harold A. Sydzyik - Ord Resident, 80 Funeral services for Harold Alexander Sydzyik, 80, of Ord were held Feb. 25 at 10:30 am at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Ord. Father Jim Warner officiated. Burial was in the Ord Catholic Cemetery. Mr. Sydzyik died Feb. 22, 2000 at his home north of Ord. He was born Sept. 10, 1919 at Loup City to Andrew and Sophie (Otlewski) Sydzyik. He lived in Loup City for a short time before moving to Arcadia in 1925. He received his education in a rural school in Valley County south of Elyria. In 1935 he moved to Elyria and in 1938 he moved west of Ord. He later moved to his present farm north of Ord where he farmed with his brother, Joe. Survivors include one brother, Don of Council Bluffs, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Joe, Anton and Walter; two sisters, Florence Welniak and Margaret Bialy. Contributor: Kathy Burgess Burr (47226369)
