Obituary from The Salt Lake Tribune (Salt Lake City, UT) - Friday, March 4, 1983: SANDY - Nile Duffin Perkins, age 57, died of natural causes on March 2, 1983 at his home in Sandy. He was born on February 6, 1926, Salt Lake City, son of George and Inez Duffin Perkins. He married Elaine Walker in 1947, later divorced. He ws raised and baptized into the LDS Church. Survived by his first son, Nile Bradford Perkins and second son, Michael D. Perkins, and a daughter Patricia Lane Perkins; seven grandchildren; one brother, Lowell Perkins, Salt Lake City. He served in World War II as a Purser and Ship's Doctor in the Merchant Marines, later he pursued his career as owner and operator of Western Chemicals and Coatings and Aqua Shields in Salt Lake City. He was the greatest salesman in the world. He was a devotee of the Master Charim Singi. His aspirations were of the written word and of the spirit. His last vigil was to find a lost passage in a Book written of love. Memorial services will be conducted Saturday 1:00 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Lawn. Interment: Larkin Sunset Gardens.
