Herald Coaster, March 5, 2001: A funeral mass for Anita V. Kopycinski, 80, of Richmond will be celebrated at 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 6 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Richmond with the Rev. Eric Pitre as celebrant. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be W.A. Gless Jr., W.A. Gless III, Dennis Cartie, Rocky Parr, Florence Kopycinski, John David Kovarcik and Robert Hurta. Her nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Monday, March 5 with a rosary being recited at 7 p.m. at the Garmany & Carden Funeral Home Chapel, 1201 Fourth St. in Rosenberg. Mrs. Kopycinski passed away Saturday, March 3, 2001 at Kateland Square in Richmond. She was born Anita Vlasta Kainer Oct. 15, 1920 to parents Henry and Ella Kainer. She was a long-time resident of Fort Bend County and of the George Ranch and a long-time member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Her husband, Edwin Kopycinski, and her parents preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughters, Joyce Poldrack and her husband, Wayne, of Rosenberg, Alice Childers and her husband, Larry, of Richmond; a son, Bill Kopycinski and his wife, Bernice, of Richmond; grandchildren, Russell Poldrack and Jen Ott of Boston, Mass., Michael Poldrack of Houston, Lisa Childers and her fiance, Craig Burkholter, of Richmond, Lee Kovarcik and his wife, Terry, John Kovarcik and his wife, Lynette, Lynn Mensik and her husband, Greg, all of Richmond, Connie Svoboda and her husband, Billy, of Justin; numerous great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, Clara Marsh and Mary Hurta of Richmond and Dorothy Kopycinski of East Bernard; brother-in-law, Henry Kopycinski and his wife Laura, of Houston; numerous nieces and nephews and special friends and care givers at Kateland Square and Cambridge Square. For those wishing, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Sacred Heart Catholic Church's Building Fund.
