Bio

Alice Purcell was born in Black Hawk, Mississippi, January 26, 1875 and later moved with her parents to Bollinger, Louisiana where she married John Connor. The couple moved to Texas in 1903 and settled in the Winnsboro area where Mr Connor had lived for awhile during his childhood. Mrs Connor had been a member of the First United Methodist Church since childhood and belonged to the church in Winnsboro. For a number of years she taught in the Sunday school and remained active as long as her health permitted. She had been seriously ill for 18 months and had been in ill health the last 15 years. She died Sunday, November 20 at the age of 74. She was survived by her husband and two children. Internment was at Lee Cemetery, Winnsboro, Texas.
