Bio

Jeanne was the daughter of Sarah Elizabeth and Roland Lee Pike and was born on the family farm in Shamrock, Texas. She met her husband, Herbert Teinert, when she was in high school in Devine, Texas, and married after her graduation. They moved to Freeport, Texas in 1946. She worked at Dow Chemical for 24.5 years and had a passion for community service all through her life. She and Herb had four children: Missy, Pike, Ann Elizabeth and Mark. She owned a beach house at Surfside Beach called the Gables, which she loved and enjoyed until the end of her life.
