Dan Hockenbrough will deliver the eulogy. Dan Manuel, minister of the Crockett Road Church of Christ in Palestine, will deliver the message. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Haggard-Heaster Funeral Home. Mrs. Ogburn died Sunday, May 25, 1997, in Jefferson. She was born in the home of her grandparents, Marsh and Hattie Harcrow Manuel in Hallsville on Jan. 22, 1913. Mrs. Ogburn was a charter member of the Martha McGraw Chapter of the DAR an an active member of the Jessie Allen Wise Garden Club for many years in charge of reservations and ticket sales for the annual Pilgrimage play "The Diamond Bessie Murder Trial." She was a member of the Jefferson Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ellie Eugenia Manuel Ware; stepfather, W. T. Ware II of Marshall; and her husband, Andrew Cordell Ogburn of Jefferson. Mrs. Osburn is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Martha (Sug) and Tom Spell of Jefferson; a brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Tina Ware of Marshall; her grandchildren, Kirsten Spell Herndon and grandson-in-law, Forrest Herndon of Abilene, Leigh Spell Hockenbrough and grandson-in-law, Dan Hockenbrough of Grapevine, Thomas Andrew Spell and granddaughter-in-law, Cheryl Pennington Spell of Midland and Tracey Spell of North Richland Hills; and seven great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Dan Hockenbrough, Forrest Herndon, Daryl Ware, David Ware, Ben Cogburn and Charles Ogburn. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Jessie DeWare, Dr. W.S. Terry, Bill Montgomery, Toby Wade, Duke DeWare and Jim Muckleroy. The family requests that memorials be sent to the American Lung Association, the Medina Children's Home or the Carnegie Library of Jefferson.
