Milton Louis Horak of Colleyville passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014, surrounded by his family and friends. Service: 10 a.m. Monday at Compass Christian Church in Colleyville officiated by Jay Franks. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday in the chapel at Bluebonnet Hills in Colleyville. Graveside service will follow in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville. Pallbearers: Douglas Horak, David Horak, Jason Weddel, Lance Dacy, Blaine Thompson and Chad Humphrey. Honorary pallbearers: Norman Travis, Carson Horak, Austin Horak and Jake Horak. Born in Dallas on June 3, 1942, Milton was the son of Louis and Frances Horak. He graduated from Grapevine High School and the University of Texas at Arlington. Milton was an avid hunter and loved spending time with his sons, grandchildren and friends at their deer lease. Milton was a kind, generous and loving man. He never hesitated to help those around him. He had a knack for comedic timing and those who came in contact with him couldn't help but laugh. He was what most would call the strong silent type, until he got to really know you and then it was his goal to keep you laughing, even if it was at his expense. Milton was preceded in death by his daughter, Julie Horak Moore; his parents; his brother, Robert Horak; and nephew, Tim Horak. Survivors: His wife of 51 years, Jo; sons, Brent Horak and wife, Michelle, Brad Horak and wife, Erin; grandsons, Carson and Austin Horak, Jake Horak; granddaughter, Samantha Horak; twin sister, Margaret Weddel and her husband, James; nephews, Douglas and David Horak, Jason Weddel; nieces, Sheila Bechtoldt and Linda Tyler; and countless family and friends.
