Funeral services for Lessie Faye Wilson will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 8, 2014, in the White Oaks Memorial Chapel with the Reverend Josephine officiating. Committal service will follow in the Blue Branch Cemetery under the guidance of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale. Lessie, 81, of Oakdale entered eternal rest on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 in the Oakdale Community Hospital. She was born on December 12, 1932 to the union of John W. Mayo and Lola Maddox Mayo. Lessie was a lifetime resident of Fullerton. She worked in the Beauregard Hospital as a Nursing Assistant and a member of the St. Matthew Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth Wilson; three sons, Norman R. Johnson, twins, Leonard and Leo Henderson; two brothers, Joseph Perkins, and J. W. Mayo; three sisters, Willie Mae McKillian, Bessie Lee Dickens, and Louise Mancil. She leaves behind her loving family to cherish her memory, one son, Silas Johnson; six sisters, Mittie Nichols of Houston, Texas, Essie Mae Stracner of Pitkin, Bettie, Janice, Erthel and Polly; two brothers, Ragan and Alfred; 6 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends. Pallbearers to serve will be Dwayne Johnson, Jason Machek, and Willie Johnson. Visitation will begin Friday, March 7, 2014, from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m., then on Saturday, March 8, 2014 from 9 a.m. until service time in the chapel.
